Justice, justice you shall pursue. The commandment from Deuteronomy 16:20 guides our values at The Fried Center. Our tradition teaches us that the word "tzedek," meaning "justice," is repeated because there are are two types of tzedek: the type we respond to and the type we seek out. Jewish values will guide us to respond to issues of tzedek and seek them out to improve our community.
